Sought-after first edition of this collection of four prose tales by Pierre Mornand, decorated with 18 compositions by the painter and illustrator Janine AGHION (1894-1982), collaborator of Paul Poiret, including 5 in mauve in the text and 13 in gold on a blue background, namely one on the cover, 4 chapter headings, 4 culs-de-lampe and 4 full-page compositions. Edition of 347 copies. One of 300 numbered copies on Arches vellum (n° 66), perfectly preserved. It has been enriched by the Catalogue of the impressions of the late Mr François Bernouard collected by Mr Gustave Arthur Dassonville, published in Bagnolet by La Typographie in 1988, in-8 square, stapled, whose exhibition was held at the Auguste Blaizot bookstore from April 20th to May 7th 1988.
