Rare edition, printed at only 80 copies, illustrated with 34 delicate and beautiful original lithographs in colours by the famous painter and poster artist Leonetto CAPPIELLO (1875-1942), including one on the title, 18 at the head of each chapter and 15 outside the text. One of 60 copies on Montval vellum (n° XXI), this one enriched with a separate colour breakdown of the hors-texts, each plate comprising between 6 and 9 proofs. A perfectly preserved copy.
