Luxurious publication printed at only 149 copies on Rives vellum, illustrated with 26 compositions by the painter and illustrator Manuel ORAZI (1860-1934), wood-engraved in colour by Pierre Bouchet, including one full-page, one chapter heading, 24 in the text and a cul-de-lampe. One of 125 copies reserved for members, this one specially printed for Marcel Ponchon (n° 99). It is enriched with one of the 21 colour suites of the illustrations on japon (n° 19), and the menu of the dinner given on March 25, 1931 by the Société des Amis du livre moderne for the publication of the book, illustrated with an unpublished composition engraved on wood in colour by Pierre Bouchet after a drawing by Orazi. This illustration also appears in the suite on japon. A perfectly preserved copy.
