A very fine proof on ivory vellum, signed in pencil in the lower left armchair of the subject. Vertical fold in the middle. Oxidation of the sheet, more marked on the right part of the sheet (the print having been framed and this part exposed to light). Thin white band around the left subject. Some foxing at the head and foot. Thin strip of mounting tab (gummed paper) along the upper edge of the right subject (remains of framing). Slight and short traces of folds. All margins. Edition of 100 proofs as a cover for the 9th and final issue of the magazine L'Estampe originale in March 1895. A. Marty ed.
