Beautiful hunting knife. Blackened wood handle with checkering. Iron frame, pommel with eagle head, guard with two "S" quillons. Strong curved blade in damascus steel, with flat back, heel and blade decoration engraved with scrolls and trophies, with gold background. Strong counter-edge. Felt-covered scabbard (later) with two iron fittings. Chainstrap stamped "KOHL". B.E. Germany, mid 19th century.
