Large exotic wood armchair richly carved, China, 19th centuryThe carved and openwork back of a plum tree in bloom in a jardinière flanked by two Fô dogs and surrounded by rocks and bamboos. The uprights of the armrests are decorated with small stylized ruyi heads and openwork bamboos. The rectangular seat is moulded and the belt carved with plum tree flowers.
