Our composition is to be compared with two other compositions after a lost original by Blanchard: one is present on the art market (Canvas, 81 x 65 cm) and the other (Canvas, 73 x 60 x cm) was in the church of Saint-Germain-de-Sivry in Sivry-Courty (Seine-et-Marne) and was stolen in December 1996 (see the catalogue of the exhibition From Vouet to Boucher.
