Mounted grenadier sword of the Imperial Guard, 2nd model. Leather-covered hilt with watermark. Brass mount, cut-out cap, imposing open-shell guard with flaming pomegranate. Quillon in openworked palmette (coup), punched on the underside (punch wear). Curved blade with flat back engraved "Mfture Imple du Klingenthal Coulaux Frères", counter-edged and punched hollow sides. Wooden scabbard with two bracelets (important wear and tear) and two large brass fittings connected by splints and reinforced with punched brass bracelets. Hollows covered with leather (missing).
