GRAND-JOUAN (Lucien). Satirix. La revue qu'on ne pas jeter... Paris: Éditions de l'humour, 1971-1976; Tours: Adas, 2017-2018 . - 28 fascicules in-folio, 352 x 282, bound in the publisher's brown half leatherette, smooth spine, slipcase; and 3 stapled fascicules. Complete collection of this satirical monthly magazine created by writer and journalist Lucien Grand-Jouan (b. 1937). The latter conceived it in the spirit of L'Assiette au beurre, of which his great-uncle, the draftsman and poster artist Jules Grandjouan (1875-1968) had been one of the main collaborators. Between October 1971 and January-February 1976, 25 issues were published, each illustrated with black and colour cartoons by the main draftsmen and cartoonists of the time, such as Sennep, Jean Effel, Albert Dubout, Siné, Claude Serre, Tetsu, Pino Zac, César and others. The publication came to a halt in 1973 with the publication in September of number 23 entitled La vérité toute nue illustrated by Pino Zac. Containing, among other things, cartoons of naked political figures, it was seized and banned by the Ministry of the Interior of the Pompidou-Messmer government. It was not until the trial and judgment of 14 February 1975 that the charge of insulting public morals against the publisher and cartoonist was dropped. Number 24 was published in October 1975, but financial difficulties got the better of the newspaper, which subsequently published only one other issue in January-February 1976. It was not until January 1998 that Lucien Grand-Jouan published a special special special issue on Jules Grandjouan . Two other issues, 27 and 28, were published in April 2017 and March 2018 respectively, by Lucien Grand-Jouan and the Association of Friends of Satirix, with illustrations by Nabe and Kupka. A precious copy, the first 25 issues of which are in a luxury binding from the publisher. The volume is enriched with an original drawing signed
