HARA-KIRI WEEKLY - CHARLIE WEEKLY. Paris: Éditions du Square, 1969-2016. - More than 2000 issues in cardboard boxes or in sheets in the publisher's slipcovers. PRECIOUS COMPLETE COLLECTION OF THE NUMBERS OF THE HARA-KIRI HEBDO AND CHARLIE HEBDO FROM 1969 TO JANUARY 2016, WITH THE ONLY EXCEPTION OF N° 1131 (February 19, 2014). The history of this political and satirical newspaper began in October 1960 with the creation of Hara-Kiri monthly founded by Cavanna and Professor Choron, with the collaboration of Fred, Reiser, Lob, Topor, Gébé, Wolinski, Cabu, etc. 1969 marked the parallel creation of Hara-Kiri Hebdo on 3 February, which became L'Hebdo Hara-Kiri on 19 May 1969, and Charlie monthly on 22 February. On November 16, 1970, the newspaper is attacked by the State censorship following the publication of its issue entitled Bal tragique à Colombey: 1 mort, published after the death of General Charles de Gaulle. This censorship will be countered with the creation a week later of Charlie Hebdo with Cabu, Reiser, Wolinski, Willem, Cavanna, Choron, Delfeil de Ton, Siné, Berroyer, Desproges, Manchette, Coluche, etc.. This first generation of the journal unfortunately had to stop in January 1982 for financial and management reasons. Thanks to Cabu's obstinacy, a new weekly was born in January 1991, entitled La Grosse Bertha, with Philippe Val as editor-in-chief. In July 1992, the owner of the newspaper fired Philippe Val, which led to the resignation of Cabu and part of the team. Cavanna and Wolinski then proposed to Cabu and Val to re-found Charlie hebdo. The latter was reborn in 1992 and continues to this day. The collection is composed as follows: - 12 albums in publisher's binders containing the 94 issues of L'Hebdo Hara-Kiri published between February 3, 1969 and November 16, 1970, and the first 529 issues of Charlie Hebdo published between November 23, 1970 and December 31, 1980 .
