HENRIOT. At Baïonnette !... - The Bayonet. Paris, January 23, 1915-April 22, 1920. - 276 numbers in-4. Illustrated cardboard boxes from the publisher. Complete collection of the two series of this satirical and patriotic weekly magazine founded by cartoonist Henri Maigrot, known as "Henriot", father of Émile Henriot. The publication began to appear under the title À la baïonnette. This first series had 24 issues under this title, published from January 23 to July 3, 1915. A new series began to appear from July 8, 1915, thanks to a change of publisher, in the person of Charles Malexis, first under the same title and then under that of La baïonnette from August 13. It was a magazine entirely devoted to the Great War, in which every drawing, caricatured or not, was a charge against the enemy. Each week it dealt with a theme linked to current events. The first issues were mainly illustrated by Henriot, but very soon many of the most famous artists collaborated in the publication, among them Cappiello, Albert Guillaume, Ibels, Louis Icart, Léandre, Poulbot, Sem, Willette, Benjamin Rabier, Hermann Paul, Louis Morin, Pierre Legrain, Rip, Paul Iribe, Albert Robida, Gus Bofa, Gerda Wegener, Pierre Falké, Chas-Laborde, etc. The first issues of the magazine were mainly illustrated by Henriot. For the texts, the names of Maurice Donnay, Miguel Zamacoïs, Jean Richepin, Alfred Capus, Léo Larguier, Abel Hermant, Maurice Vaucaire, John Grand-Carteret, Curnonsky, Colette, Pierre Mac Orlan, Lucien Descaves, Henri Bataille, André Warnod, Lucie Delarue-Mardrus, Guillaume Apollinaire, etc. are noteworthy. Copies in publisher's bindings for the 24 issues of the first series and for the first 182 issues of the second series. Numbers 183 to 208 are bound in contemporary half black cloth and numbers 209 to 250 are in fascicles, unbound. The insert on pink paper is attached, indicating the reasons for the discontinuation of the journal:
