In number 17 of 1888, he added about Gillot, dedicatee of the text entitled, But where are the snows of yesteryear? this nasty remark: "(millionaire) This Gillot for 50 frs of a debt of cliché made me make 500 frs of expenses! and continue "à boulets rouges" (bailiffs style) ". Under the drawing on the cover of number 22 of 1889, he inscribed in blue: " Drawing massacred by the engraver (sic) and bastard Decaux ".
