FRANCE FIRST HALF OF THE XVIIIth CENTURYA baluster with silver-plated metal bayonet engraved with a wedding band coat of arms surmounted by a count's crown. The circular pedestal with a doucine is enhanced on the first doucine with floral motifs in geometrical recessed frames on the rim of the lid. The body is engraved with Regency motifs: fleurons, falling draperies on a background of crossbars and amatis. The dome is surmounted by a spinning top grip on a terrace of gadroons. Condition: wear to the original plating, not re-silvered, slight deformation at the pedestal. Height: 22.5 cm - diameter of the pedestal: 7.2 cm .
