Stamp of Louis Delanois, carpenter received master in 1761. Louis XVI period. H: 93 cm, L: 90 cm The console leg principle can be found on a gilded wooden sofa (Paris sale, Artcurial, 27 April 2018, lot 227, as well as on another sofa also in gilded wood (Paris sale, Cornette de Saint-Cyr study, 17 June 2009, lot 106), both stamped by Delanois. This idea was largely taken up by the carpenter Georges Jacob.
