The illustration consists of 8 original drypoints by Hermine DAVID (1886-1970), one on the cover and 7 out of text. Edition at 368 copies. One of the 18 nominatives reserved for the publisher and his friends, this one specially printed for Vercors, printed on tinted vellum paper and enriched with a suite of the 7 off-text illustrations on Arches vellum. Perfectly preserved copy, entirely uncut. A few small freckles on the slices.
