Original edition of 9 of the 10 titles that make up the collection of the "10 Commandments" by Émile Faguet (1847-1916). These are philosophical and moral variations on the commandments of Christian morality, where the author's thought accompanies the maxims of illustrious moralists. It is very rare to find the complete set. Each title is one of 25 numbered copies on paper from Holland, the second paper after 12 on Imperial Japan. Very nice set uniformly bound. The commandment on the Love of the Profession is missing. Spines slightly faded. Slight crack at the hinges of the volume on Love of Self.
