Les Ombres errantes, which forms the first volume, was awarded the Prix Goncourt in the year of its publication in 2002. Le Dernier royaume now has 10 volumes, the last of which will be published in 2018; the work is still in progress. Copies in the first print run. The first 3 volumes are part of the 50 numbered copies on pure thread vellum by the Popes (n° 26) and the last 2 of the 50 numbered copies on pure thread vellum by Papeteries de Malmenayde (n° 29), the only large papers. Copies largely uncut. Volumes 2 and 3 are warped.
