First authentic edition, published by the general of Saint-Simon when he had recovered the entire manuscript of the Memoirs. It is illustrated with a portrait of the author lithographed by Villain after J. Belliard, here in the frontispiece of volume 20, a folding facsimile out of text as well as two folding maps (volumes 11 and 17). The last volume devoted to the table of Memoirs is missing. The hinges of the first two volumes are partly split, with wear and tear on several covers and hinges. Freckles. Two loose leaves in volume 10.
