Charles BAUDELAIRE. L.A.S. "C.B.", [Brussels] Monday 17 [July 1865], to Narcisse Ancelle; 2 pages in-8 with printed heading of Prosper Crabbe stuck at the head of the 1st page (some light corrosions of ink, small lack at the upper corner of the 2nd f. without loss of text).

Financial affairs. He has just spoken to stockbroker Prosper Crabbe, whose contact details he pastes at the top of the letter: "I explained it to him. - A duplicate that he will receive from you, which he will have to collate. - Plus2000 fr, that he will deliver in exchange of the treaty, registered formerly in Paris. Address thus in full safety the2000 fr and the treaty to Crabbe. It's Mr. Crabbe who just bought the paintings of Malassis. - Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! You know your Caroly is dead. Today is the 17th. You'll receive this letter on the 18th, at 10:00. You'll have just enough time to answer and send the money. It goes without saying that it is Crabbe, and not me, who will return the treaty to you". He prayed that the letters from Poulet-Malassis be attached to the treaty. "And now I'm going to heat up the Lemer affair"...
Correspondence, Bibl. de la Pléiade, t. II, p. 518.
