SASPORTASA
 18K (750) gold quadrangular
 pendant
set with a pierced and engraved jade of flowers and foliage, embellished with blue enamel and a triangular lapis lazuli cabochon, mounted on an articulated necklace of 18K yellow and white gold geometric links, yellow gold bead chains. Monogrammed and numbered. French work of the 1925s. Dimensions of the motif: 7 x 4 cm approximately. Length of the necklace: 44 cm approximately. Gross weight: 88.1 g{ CR} The House of Sasportas, located bd Magenta in Paris, is known in particular for having obtained a gold medal at the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in 1925 as attested by an advertisement in a specialized magazine. This House was famous for its "costume" jewellery, knowing that at the time, this appellation included jewellery made in series from an original artist's drawing. The pendant that we present reflects very well the approach of Sasportas characterized by a composition centered on an engraved stone (here, a jade), the use of enamelled patterns to frame it, contrasts in the color of the metals. Stones such as coral, lapis lazuli, jade and onyx formed the basis of his gemological repertoire and his chromatic vocabulary. This pendant can be compared to a 1926 bracelet where we find exactly the same aesthetic language. Les Echos des Industries d'art n 5 (1925) and n 17 (1926
).
