Officer's sword of the Hundred Guards. Horn handle with watermark. Mounting in chased bronze, gilt and silver. Four-pointed guard, chiselled with foliage, with a shell adorned with the "Grandes Armes Impériales" gilded on a silver background. Straight blade with flat back, engraved "Mre Imple de Chat Avril 1854", (reappearing), with counter-edges and hollow sides. Scabbard in sheet iron with two bracelets, two rings and iron stinger. B.E.
