Salmon morocco, dishes decorated in the centre with a wide vertical band of 13 golden fatty fillets, covered with a golden plate on a piece of black morocco, representing a naked woman sitting on a bed of roses on the first dish, and a rose accompanied by her leaves on the second dish, smooth back, triple inner golden fillet, golden head, untrimmed, cover and back preserved (René Kieffer). Beautiful deluxe edition, the first illustrated, decorated with 59 full-page stenciled coloured compositions, with a woodcut frame in bistre on a gold background on each page and engraved lettering by the decorator, illustrator and art critic André DOMIN (1883-1962). Edition at 560 copies; one of the 50 on japan accompanied by a series of illustrations in black on japan peel. Very nice copy in original binding by René Kieffer.
