Re-used binding, burgundy basane, gold and cold gilt frames on covers, smooth decorated spine, gilt inside wheel (19th century binding). Composite album comprising 24 Japanese erotic prints, probably from the 19th or early 20th century, glued on tabbed card stock, from different series. In addition to these 24 prints, at the end there are 3 old erotic engravings, including one by the draughtsman and caricaturist Frédillo, from the end of the 19th century, taken from a collection, and 2 caricatures from the revolutionary period, enhanced with gouache , from the same series. This album was conceived in the 20th century. For the occasion, the amateur used the binding of a copy of Balzac's Une ténébreuse affaire, the title of which appears in gilt letters on the spine.
