 Paris, 15 March and 30 April 1972.

 3 issues in 2 fascicles

 in-4, stapled.
Very rare set of the first 3 issues, published in 2 fascicles, out of the only 4 apparently published, of this
 avant-garde
 magazine
.
This literary review was founded in 1960 by Jean-Edern Hallier and Philippe Sollers at Éditions du Seuil. Although it was intended to be apolitical, it gradually slipped into Maoism. These 3 issues appeared in parallel to this review and marked the break of the movement and of Sollers in particular with the French communist party, the former
 allies.
The first issue is illustrated on the cover with two drawings by Françoise Rojare, including a cartoon depicting Mao Zedong shooting Brezhnev and Nixon, i.e. "on L'Obs and his ill-paid employee" according to Sollers. The double issue 2/3 is entirely devoted to China, with a poem in Chinese by Mao Zedong, whose French translation is on the back cover.
