Charles Jouas (1866-1942) L'Abbaye-aux-Bois (Paris, 7th arrondissement), 17 August 1906. Copper engraved with etching. 220 x 290. Bevelled, rounded corners. Titled and dated in the lower right-hand corner . The monastery was dismantled during the Revolution and transformed into a prison under the Terror.
