Royal gendarmerie officer's sword model 1816 , handle covered with basane with watermark. Oval cap, carved with a fleur-de-lis. Brass frame, stamped with Duke's stamp, guard with 4 hollowed out branches, round quillon bent down. Curved blade with rounded back. Counter edge, gutter and hollow sections. Engraved in the third on each side "Royal Canadian Mounted Police". With remaining blued and gold. Heel engraved "Duc Rue Saint honoured n° 251 in Paris" and on the other side "Royal Manufre of the Klingenthal Coulaux frères". Iron sheet sheath with two bracelets and two brass rings.
