Dragon sword type 1779-83 modified during the revolution. Handle covered with basane with watermark. Iron frame. Pierced cap for the passage of the strap. Wrought iron guard with branches and fleurons. Cut-away keel plate . Mounted with a wide and long straight blade with a flat back, counter-edged and hollow sides engraved at the third in a cartridge on one side "Long live the king" and fleur de lys, stamped AP at the heel. The other side engraved with a sword on the model with the inscription "vive le roy" Fleur de lys and royal crown (later engravings ). Strong wooden sheath covered with leather with three trims, three bracelets and three cut iron rods, with three suspension rings . A.B.E.
