Carabinieri's sword. Handle covered with basane with watermark. (Small accident and missing). Coppered brass frame. Long tail cap . Guard with two branches and shell with the arms of France surmounted by the royal crown (ground) struck on either side with a grenade. Straight blade engraved on the back and flat sides, punched on the heel, engraved on one side "regiment des carabi..." with a toe in the extension of the back. Leather sheath with two brass (composite) and iron stinger trims . E.M. (Branch accident). Around 1777-1792 modified during the Revolution.
